Choosing Your Hairpiece

Which option is right for you?

Hair for Hats offers three ways to wear human hair under your own hats, beanies and scarves. The right option depends on where you'd like your hair to sit, how much hair you would like, and the type of hairstyle that you are looking for.

1. Hair framing my face

Front Pieces provide a natural, lightweight fringe that falls across the forehead and down the sides of your face. You can wear the fringe as it is, or have it trimmed into a shorter fringe or bangs, at the length and thickness that you prefer.

The sides/ends of thehair piece can be tucked into your hat or beanie, with soft wisps of hair showing around the sides and back for a natural look.

Choose a Front Piece if you'd like:

  • Hair around your face and forehead
  • A lightweight option with minimal hair
  • A natural fringe without hair at the back of your hat

2. Hair at the back of my head

Back Pieces provide a thicker volume of hair at the back of your hat, with plenty of hair extending around the sides of your face.

They are available in two lengths:

  • Mid-length: approximately 20–25 cm / 8-9 inches
  • Longer: approximately 25–30 cm / 9-11 inches

Length is measured from the nape of the neck.

Choose a Back Piece if you'd like:

  • More volume and coverage at the back
  • Hair around the sides of your hat
  • A fuller hairstyle without hair on your forehead

3. Hair at both front and back

Halos combine a Front Piece and a Back Piece on one adjustable headband, providing hair coverage around the full circumference of your head. You can choose the Back Piece to be mid-length or longer length, depending on how much length and coverage you'd like.

The Halo comes with a spare headband, making it easy for you to also wear the Front and Back Pieces separately, giving you the flexibility to change your look depending on the hat or wear only the piece you need.

Choose a Halo if you'd like:

  • Hair framing your face, as a short or side fringe, and hair at the back
  • Coverage around the full circumference of your head
  • A fuller volume of hair overall
  • The flexibility to wear the Front and Back Pieces separately
