Refund policy
Buying a wig online is difficult, and we understand you might decide our hairpieces are not for you, or your circumstances might change. If you do not love your hair piece, or you find out you do not need it, we are happy to process a hassle-free refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Refund process
1. Please contact us at admin@hairforhats.com within 30 days of delivery, and request a return, or initiate the return via the self-serve returns process via your account on our website.
2. On receipt of your email, we will provide the return address for you to post the item.
3. When you post it, please email us the tracking number so that we know that it is on its way. Please note that you are responsible for the return shipping, and you can choose the slowest shipping method to reduce this cost.
4. When we receive the item we will check that it is in its original condition, and process the refund. We provide a full refund minus the cost of shipping/courier and any import duties that we paid on a customer's behalf - as we cannot recover these costs. A breakdown of these costs can be found in your original order.
5. We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your returned item, and process the refund to your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
Exchange process
1. Please contact us at admin@hairforhats.com within 30 days of delivery, and to request an exchange - for a different colour or style.
2. On receipt of your email, we will provide the return address for you to post the original item.
3. When you post it, please email us the tracking number so that we know that it is on its way. Please note that you are responsible for the return shipping, and you can choose the slowest shipping method to reduce this cost.
4. When we receive the item we will check that it is in its original condition, and send the replacement.
Damage and issues
Please inspect your order upon receiving it, and contact us immediately if there are any defects, or if you received the wrong item. This has never happened, as we pride ourselves on quality and quality control of each item sent, however if this were to happen we would of course find a quick solution.
Items lost in transit, incorrect address provided, or returned to sender
If you have not received the tracking number within 3 days of your order, please contact us at support@hairforhats.com.
If you have not received your item within 2 weeks of receiving the tracking number please (1) check the tracking number; (2) visit your local post office; and (3) if you would like assistance please contact us at support@hairforhats.com.
You are responsible for providing the correct and full address when you order. If the address is incorrect or incomplete, and the package is either lost or returned to us, we feel it is fair for you to cover the shipping costs for us to resend the order.
If your package is not picked up on time and is returned to sender, we will contact you for your preference from two options: (1) pay for postage for us to resend it or (2) receive a refund less the shipping cost (as we cannot recover these costs).
If your package is permanently lost in the post then we will work together to find a solution - contacting the appropriate postal services, and providing a refund or replacement as appropriate, as soon as possible.
