Donating ponytails
How does this work?
Step 1: Decide who is chopping
All Sustainable Salons stylists are specially trained to cut ponytails for donation.
Search for one near you to book your ponytail donation through their Salon Locator. If there are no Sustainable Salons in your area, reach out to your hairdresser and ask them if they can chop it for you.
Step 2: Measure your pony
Sustainable Salons accept hair from people of any age, gender, hair type and hair colour as long as the hair is properly prepared and measures a minimum length of 20cm. They recommend measuring your hair before you cut your ponytail - that way you can see if even just a little more can make a super special impact!
Step 3: Chop correctly for donation
If you can't find a Sustainable Salon stylist in your area, please download the Ponytail Donation Toolkit and take it with you to your hairdresser. The toolkit includes the ponytail donation guidelines and the ponytail donation form

Step 4: Post your ponytails
Once your ponytails are ready to donate, either drop them off at your nearest Sustainable Salon or follow the packaging and mailing instructions outlined on the ponytail donation form.
