from 49 reviewsI had a lovely positive experience working with Juliet. She was very responsive to my messages and helped me to colour match my pre-chemo hair to a hair halo. Living on the gold coast, the thought of a full wig during summer was awful, , so this provides me with a great alternative to look less “cancer patient” on the days when i need a little normalisation . The hair quality is great, very soft and stylable too.
I can honestly say that Juliet is an angel. She is so so helpful and the product is just amazing - just at a time that you need a miracle. I wasn't sure which option I needed and Juliet was spot on with her advice - albeit from the other side of the world. I can highly highly recommend Hair4Hats and I just wish I found her last time around.
Beautiful, simple and functional! I love how real this looks under a hat without the added coverage. I really didn't want to wear a wig daily and this is the perfect option.
*** Update*** I started really losing lots of hair yesterday so I shaved it off this morning. I am so in love with this hair headband, what a genius design! It is a perfect match to my natural hair. I look at myself with it on and know it isn't my natural hair but it LOOKS like my natural hair. I was so worried I was going to feel insecure once I lost my hair but this product has 100% resorted my confidence and self image.
Juliet was fantastic to work with. She responded to my inquiry quickly, helped me color match and shipped my long halo wig out the same day. It's so light and comfortable to wear. No one can tell it's not my real hair. It feels good to look like my old self while I go through chemo. Very grateful!
Quality hair and such a great Idea for keeping my head cool in this year of chemotherapy. Thank you!
I have been wearing my short fringe as well as my medium fringe for the last several months. I absolutely love both, especially the short fringe which I find super simple to wear. It looks like my real bangs underneath my hat. They are also much cooler (in temperature) compared to wearing wigs. The band stays well in place underneath my hats. I actually bought two wigs, but find the fringes so much fun to wear, low maintenance and more youthful in appearance. I also prefer to wear hats and the fringes are the perfect complement. In fact, I am about to order a second short fringe in silver/grey to change things up! So, as you can tell, I am a BIG fan of my “Hair for Hat” fringes. You can’t go wrong with them especially if you love wearing hats.
I received my long hair halo this week and I love it! The colour is so close to what was my natural hair it’s amazing. The halo just brings back confidence to go out and not just look like a cancer patient especially on days when I’m feeling well! It’s comfortable as a headband and means my entire head isn’t getting hot and sweaty as I can just put my bamboo turbans over top and still feel comfortable. So glad I purchased this as it just brings back a bit of normality when I need it.
I have wigs to use due to my hair loss from chemo (I still have some of my own but not enough to go outside of house without a wig on) but I wanted an option to wear with the hats I already own. I am not comfortable going outside of the house without a wig on. I researched wig caps with hair on them and came across the Hair for Hats website. The hair on this feels really good and, even with a hat on, it not as hot as the wigs are. I love having this as an option. It makes me feel pretty and not just a cancer patient. I have received a lot of compliments on it. I read the story behind this company and I was really impressed by it. Thank you so much for providing this as on option.
After being diagnosed with breast cancer in August I began researching options for chemo related hair loss. I looked into cold capping and decided that wasn’t for me. I know lots of woman embrace the bald look and I don’t mind being bald around family and friends but in public I wanted another option. I bought a wig , but it just felt hot, uncomfortable and not me. I stumbled upon hair for hats website by accident and I am so glad I did. Such a beautiful story of how the company was founded and it looked like a perfect solution., plus I love supporting a small business. Even though I am in the US my order was sent promptly. I enjoy the ability to have a comfortable solution when I leave the house that makes me not feel like a sick cancer patient. I highly recommend this hair loss solution.
In LOVE. I purchased two mid-length in honey-blonde to create a holo effect. They are perfect. As I head into my hair-loss journey, I would bet big bucks that these will be my go-to versus the wig that I bought; they feel so silky soft and are comfortable to wear... picture to follow! :)
Thanks Juliet!!
After 20 weeks of chemotherapy, I had hardly worn my wig that I had purchased, it was hot, itchy and kind of like wearing I tight pair of high heels!
I wondered how I was going to get through summer while my hair was growing back. I wanted to be able to wear a hat to protect my bald head from the sun, but still feel like a normal person, not a cancer patient.
So happy I found hair for wigs! It arrived in NZ just days after ordering and I instantly ordered a 2nd section of hair for the back. Awesome invention - thank you!
This little hair piece is perfect. I have hair loss from chemotherapy and bought an expensive wig early on (which I also love on the right occasions) but I don’t always want to put the full wig on when I do a quick run to the shop or school pick up etc. I looked into making something up myself to wear under beanies but was then referred to Juliet by my lovely BCWA nurse. It is a simple idea which looks and feels great. The colour is very true to my real hair, my kids even thought my hair had grown back :)
Thank you Juliet for giving me another option to look good and feel better in what is a very upsetting time of my life.
Just received my order and couldn't be happier with this hairpiece! Works perfectly for wearing with a baseball cap and having hair rest behind the ears. Just in time for summer approaching! Just slip on and go...very comfortable and looks and feels so natural. Juliet was more than helpful in answering questions and directing me in the right direction to purchase hats that can be worn with it. Looking forward to wearing it different ways with different headcovers.
I'm so happy with this hairpiece, it looks so natural and its easy and practical to wear. So good, I've purchased the second piece for the back of my hair. I did try wigs at the beginning of my journey but not for me. This is more me, real hair in a colour that suits. It's lightweight and comfortable. There's no fidgeting to keep it in place. Thank you very much it's just so easy to pop on and go, no double looks from people, it looks like my own hair.
Recently purchased the blonde headband with my mum and it is amazing, the service was absolutely wonderful.
Would highly recommend for anyone going through chemo who is looking for something stylish, comfortable and easy to use.
Collection: Side Fringe Wigs - Face Framers
Our Side Fringes can be worn on their own or combined with a short, mid-length or long hair piece at the back to create a halo around the full circumference of your head.
Tip: when wearing only the face framer, tuck the longer bits into the headband so that wisps poke out at the back, making it look like your hair is tucked under the hat.
FAQS
HOW DO YOU USE HAT WIGS?
Our hair attaches to headband (included) - just put it on and pop a hat or beanie on top. Add a scarf over the top to dress it up.
You can watch a short video demonstration here: How To Wear It - Hair For Hats
HOW OFTEN DO YOU NEED TO WASH HAIR FOR HATS WIGS?
Our human hair wigs rarely need to be washed (once every second month will do it) as they are not absorbing oils from your scalp. Whenever you wish, just pop the headband in the washing machine, and gently hand-wash your fringe with baby shampoo in a bowl, rinse well and dry it on a towel. Here's a video demonstration of how to washing your human hair wig and headband.
WHERE DOES THE HAIR USED IN YOUR WIGS COME FROM?
Our human hair is donated in Australia, sourced with gratitude from Sustainable Salons.
CAN YOU HEAT IT?
Yes! It's 100% human hair so you can use a straightener and curler, and style it like your own hair.
IS THERE A LONGER OR SHORTER VERSION?
Yes it now comes in three lengths: short (8-9cm), medium (18-19cm) and long (25-30cm).
The longer version is twice as thick as the short and medium, made for the back of the head.
You can attach two pieces to the one headband for a "hair halo", covering the full circumference of your head.
